1. Why hire an Interior Designer
An Interior Designer can save you time, money, and help with overall coordination of your project. For any project there can be hundreds of products available to suit a need. An Interior Designer can pare down the overwhelming number of choices to just a few. Then, the designer can pull the selections together and present a recommendation that is right for your environment and your needs. Not only does this save you time, it also saves money by avoiding potentially costly redecorating a room that isn’t satisfactory.
2. How are interior design services charged?
Design fees are billed on an hourly basis and are dependent on the scope of the project. After an initial complimentary consultation, clients receive an estimate of the overall project cost. An initial deposit is then collected to begin the project. Expenses are billed every 2 weeks with balance due upon receipt afterward.
3. How do I know your look is right for my tastes? I want my space to look and feel like me.
We want your home to look and feel like you, too. We specialize in creating custom environments unique to each person. We take our work seriously, and want your space to look like you, not a “designed” room that doesn’t feel like yours. 4. What if I want to do some of the work myself and have my own ideas about how things should look? What then?
Not a problem. We are happy to work with clients in a way that is best for them. We’ll spend time discussing your project before work begins to ensure all expectations are met.
5.How involved can I be in choosing furnishings, color and fabrics?
One of the reasons clients hire Interior Designers is for the Designer’s expertise in creating custom environments. Your level of involvement in the design process is up to you. We can make all the selections for you or accompany you to showrooms to lend our expert advice. Your schedule doesn’t allow for that? We can handle it, and will bring you in for critical decisions. You will be involved in the final decisions made for your space.
